Freedom! When will you be free?

Sometimes , I keep on wondering "what's the real meaning of freedom?" Indeed a very tough question for those who are already "free". the word "freedom" holds an important place for those who are slaves of someone or something ... but the day, one is free, which, to my belief, is almost impossible in many senses, he'she loses the sense of freedom.. how absurd! yet, think on it well ...

many people celebrate their independence with pomp. some cherish the very fact that they are free, not slaves, and are enjoying the facilities of a democratic state. others, are merely satisfied with the idea of at least doing things they want. perception!! we are most of the times being fooled .. fooled by our circumstances, by people and by our own philosophy of life ... knowing something and experiencing something are two different things, but alas, who has time in this busy world, to ponder on the differences? all that, we know, is that we are free ...

but then, how to merge our happiness with our freedom ... this also is a big question and requires efforts galore. freedom is something which needs to be rejoiced. but, intellectuals usually talk so seriously on such matters, like i am trying to do, and complicate one's and other's lives... well, I am not saying that i am an intellectual, though, right now, i am somewhat confused about what i am writing ... yet, I see so many people always complaining that "freedom" is a utopia. how far, this is true for all of you reading this blog, is up to you to decide but i will surely end by saying that, every moment one shares with his/her close ones which gives him/her back happiness in return, is an important aspect of being a "free person".

for, to anybody, freedom is a quite personal and subjective matter ...

take care and enjoy your freedom.

Happy Independence day and republic day to our motherland, Mauritius. (12 March)
